Ballstad is a small town in the middle of the Lofoten Islands in the far north of Norway. With less than 1000 inhabitants, Ballstad is nevertheless one of the larger communities on this group of islands, which is dominated by rugged mountains, countless lakes and fjords reaching far into the country.
