In this rugged world, where heaven and earth merge into one another, the sharp rock tooth rises like a sombre sentinel above the snow-covered valley. The Valais, bathed in black and white, appears here in its most forbidding form, a place where only the clouds brush the cool peaks of the mountains. They glide over the rock faces as if to give the rough contours of the peaks a gentle, fleeting embrace before disappearing again into the vast emptiness of the sky.

Winter has cast its spell over the landscape, hiding every detail under a blanket of snow and ice. Yet this place radiates a quiet power, an almost frightening majesty. The cliffs, scarred by countless winters, tell stories of winds that batter mercilessly against the peaks and of storms that shroud the valleys in darkness. Up here, in the infinite silence, where only the soft whisper of nature can be heard, you can feel the irrepressible power of the mountains and the all-encompassing wisdom of time.
