Before this day in the Alps draws to a close, nature once again lets fireworks rise above the lake. The holey cloud cover shines for a few minutes in all imaginable hues from yellow to orange to violet and it seems as if the horizon is literally glowing. The colors in the sky are reflected in the alpine lake, which lies quietly between the high mountains, and the fading daylight makes the water surface shimmer pearly one last time.
Sunsets are always fascinating and this motif is definitely one of the most beautiful we have experienced so far in Western Switzerland.
