Created in the area of the 2067 m high San Bernardino Pass between Ticino and Grisons, the rich summer colors immediately catch our eye as viewers, with harmonious shades of green and blue blending together to form a pleasant contrast to the stony bedrock of the small lake.

The San Bernardino Pass is now primarily of tourist value, since from the village of San Bernardino the main road runs in a winter-safe tunnel. Nevertheless, the winding pass road is also a popular destination and leads us between the Mixos and the Hinterrhein valley through an impressive mountain landscape.
