The unmistakable pyramid-shaped silhouette with the striking rocky north wall is the all-dominating sight for tourists moving on the Lac de Dix dam or along its western shore.
On this sunny autumn day, the sun is already relatively low and thus provides a soft light, which ideally brings out the contrast of white, blue and rich autumn colors. The reservoir stretches into the picture like a fjord and gives the scenery depth and tranquility through the even water surface. The first snow covers the mountains in this relatively little frequented corner of the Swiss Alps, announcing the approach of winter.
