Soothing greenery, relaxing silence. A forest clearing photographed with a sun star in the middle of Norway.
By the way: on my Instagram account @falko.burghausen you can regularly find more posts with new photos or videos.
It is the typical, Norwegian swamp landscape through which the small, barely visible path winds its way to a forest clearing. From the little-used road in Hemsedal, Norway, Marina and I follow the overgrown path that, according to the map, should take us over a small wooden bridge and in a circle a few kilometers further on back to the road. Muddy passages where we sink into the soft ground up to our ankles alternate with firmer, grassy passages – always followed by a swarm of mosquitoes. It is late afternoon and the sun is already sinking noticeably towards the horizon when we pass this small clearing. It is rather a happy coincidence that the sun position and our position just fit and I can take this photo with a sun star. But sometimes it is exactly the coincidence that helps you and brings more than extensive planning.
We are lucky – the map is correct and a few photos later we get back on the road and to the campsite we approached with the van. It is quiet, hardly a handful of vehicles pass this remote area and we have a huge pitch all to ourselves. So that it remains so, we hope for appropriate behavior of other guests with motorhome, van & Co. – otherwise is to be expected with correspondingly accompanying pollution probably sooner or later in many areas with bans and rejection. Unfortunately, also an increasingly common phenomenon of the so-called Vanlife.
A mountain village covered in deep snow, nestled under a red glowing winter sky in the picturesque scenery of Central Switzerland. Our picture of the month December creates a homey and cozy mood and anticipation of Christmas.
